Ecstatic Dance

Dear dance community,

On Sunday, December 21, our last Ecstatic Dance of the year will take place in Frankfurt - this time we will be back in Rödelheim at the FTG. We are really looking forward to filling the FTG sports garden with music and movement - on this special day on the winter solstice.

Admission: 17:30
Doors Close: 18:00
End approx. 21:00

Please be on time - because Doors Close at 6pm means that we won't let anyone in after 6pm so that we can start our opening circle without being disturbed.

Procedure:

As always, we start together in a circle and open the space together, which we will fill with our movement and the expression of our being. Basically, a few universal agreements apply to Ecstatic Dance:

• We dance sober and without the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants
• We refrain from speaking during the music
• We are mindful of each other and respect the boundaries of the other dancers
• We dance barefoot or with socks

After the opening circle, there will be a warm-up to help us arrive at ourselves and the space. We will then move on to the approx. 2-hour music and dance journey and finish with a short cool-down.

As always, we will provide snacks and tea for you - feel free to bring your water bottle and optionally a cup. And very important: bring warm clothes, thick socks and everything you need for a cool hall in winter.
