Ecstatic Dance Kassel

Ecstatic Dance is a space for free, intuitive dancing - without fixed steps, guidelines or expectations.

The focus is on conscious celebration - without alcohol, drugs or other substances. The idea is to be guided by the music - whether alone, in a group or with eyes closed - everyone dances the way it feels right at the moment - wildly, gently, slowly or energetically.

The music at Ecstatic Dance is versatile and varied. A journey through different moods - from calm soundscapes to driving beats. Electronic sounds, world music, tribal, ambient and more merge into a tapestry of sound that invites you to immerse yourself and let go.

The space is designed to be safe and mindful, so that everyone can express themselves freely and unfiltered. It's about being completely with yourself, in connection with the music, your own body and the energy of the group.

Ecstatic Dance offers moments full of joy, liveliness and lightness. It is an invitation to let go of the head, to arrive in the body and to be completely in the here and now - moving, authentic and alive.

How does an Ecstatic Dance work? What are the guidelines for Ecstatic Dance Kassel?

Procedure:

At 15:30h we open our doors for you to arrive. We close the doors at 16h, so please be on time. We start together at 4pm with an opening circle. Afterwards there will be a guided warm-up, which will lead into the dance. Afterwards we will end the evening with a closing circle.

Intentions & guidelines:

Be present, no cell phones or cameras.

Be clear, no alcohol, no substances.

Be grounded, no shoes.

Be in your body, no talking in the dance space.

Be open, don't judge others or yourself.

Be respectful, respect your space and that of others, no means no.

Take care of yourself, drink enough water and take breaks when you need them.

Cost:

Because we all have very different financial means, we offer different price categories. We want to make participation possible for a wider audience and still be able to pay fairly for the work that goes into it. You can choose which category you want, depending on your situation and how much you value our work.
