IL CIVETTO (Berlin) >>> Indie | Pop | Fusion
With songs about toxic masculinity, a world in turmoil and some of the brightest melodies of their career to date, Il Civetto have once again completely reinvented themselves. With guests such as Frank Dellé (Seeed), the result is "Liebe auf Eis", the wonderfully intoxicating new Il Civetto album, which is also the Berlin pop band's most personal and haunting to date. When Il Civetto come on, the sun rises. No joke, that's just the way it is. "We can't explain it either," says Leon Keiditsch, "but it's happened again and again this year: that it stops raining as soon as we go on stage at a festival. Before rain, after rain, during our performance the sun shines. It's a bit scary." Keiditsch is the singer of the Berlin pop group Il Civetto, who actually have a very special gift: When the night seems deepest, Il Civetto know the light switch. This applies not only to their concerts, but to the band's music in general - and even more so to their new album: "Liebe auf Eis" combines light with shadow, the vibe of a balmy summer night with the hangover afterwards.

bac (pronounced bi ey ßi) from Villach, is just 19 years young and has not only stormed the viral Spotify Top 50 charts in the entire DACH region with his music, but recently also the German and Austrian charts. In his new single "Rosaroter Tee", the musician with Ethiopian roots exudes a positive lightness in his fresh and straightforward manner. Even before the release, several videos on his social media channels went viral and have already reached several million views in total. Rappers and indie-alternative musicians are among his followers, whose numbers have rapidly doubled in the last two months. With the lyrics of his new single "Do you want a pink tea, or an Oreo soufflé? If not, it's okay anyway, time is passing anyway", he not only inspires his fans, but also the social media teams of well-known cookie brands. "Rosaroter Tee" is the perfect song for the fall season: with laid-back piano and relaxed lyrics, bac masters the balancing act between pop and spoken word.

Where analog meets digital, where retro meets modern, where funky meets lazy. David is a creative mind, born and raised in Hamburg. He started making music in his band Pool when they were just 13 years old. They toured all over Europe, the US, opened for bands like The 1975 and played festivals like SXSW. Producing records for Pool led him to producing music with and for other artists. He worked with musicians from all genres and at all levels; from Scooter to Solomun, from top five chart records to zero budget indie records. At some point, he wanted to make music all by himself, the way he wanted to - without compromise. So he started his solo project David Bay. And if you want to, why don't you come along?
