"Ein Bauer versteht zu hexen" - ein Live-Hörspiel

In the organizer's words:

Slow Club proudly presents: A live radio play with Hörwerke e.V.

Now it's time for the third time: sit down, close your eyes, open your ears and experience a live radio play! If you want to see how radio plays are made, you can of course open your eyes again and follow how sounds and voices are woven into a tangible story on the stage of the Slow Club. It will be interesting to see where this acoustic journey will take us this time.

A live radio play lies somewhere between an author's reading and a visit to the theater. However, the live radio play offers something that the other two might miss. Instead of a monotonous reading, a live radio play has several voices. A whole ensemble of voices reads and tells a story, which is accompanied by foley artists and live music. And while the theater demands constant attention, the live radio play offers the opportunity to close your eyes for a moment, listen and follow your own imagination.

In our current program, we present written and oral sagas and legends from the Black Forest, collected and written down by the historian and poet Max Rieple in 1965. We have reinterpreted the traditions and staged them as short radio plays:

In "Ein Bauer versteht zu hexen", a humble man from the Schwärzenbach valley inadvertently gains the powers of the devil and uses them to enrich his everyday life with small miracles.

You can expect an exciting show to listen to and watch with live music! (for adults and young people aged 12 and over)

Hörwerke e.V. is an association from Freiburg and the surrounding area in which 15 speakers have joined forces to write and record radio plays and perform them live on stage.
