In the organizer's words:

For 75 years, the city of Dortmund has been purchasing works of art by artists living here and preserving them in an extensive collection.

With the current exhibition of the works purchased in 2025, the Kulturbüro Dortmund is showing a glimpse into the creativity, diversity and unbridled creative power of the local art scene. The exhibition presents works by Silke Bojahr, Marco Wittkowski, Christian Freudenberger, Fatma Özay, Jamin Pamin, Marc Bühren, the artist duo Lom-of-Lama, Jan Richard Heinicke, Sabine Held, Jana Kerima Stolzer & Lex Rütten, Peter Hoffmann, Finnja Giesberts, Aron Schmidtke, Steven Natusch and Heinz Morszoeck.

KUNST AUS(LEIHE) DORTMUND provides access to this art:

The works are available for private loan to the city's citizens and, through the newly created GALERIE AUF ZEIT, Dortmund companies and tradespeople can present exhibitions curated especially for them from the Dortmund Cultural Office's collection in their business premises.
