GO.GRØØN - Kick-off event
Energy transition from next door
7 lighthouses from Lübeck
With keynote speech by Markus Gürne (ARD journalist)
The climate control center of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck and the Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck are jointly organizing the kick-off event for GO.GRØØN - Fair for Sustainable and Fair 2026. Katja Günther (State Secretary Ministry for Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Environment and Nature, Schleswig-Holstein) and Jan Lindenau (Mayor of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck) welcome you to the kick-off event of the fair on Friday, 24.04.2026 at 17.00 in the concert hall of the MUK. In the keynote speech on the Made in Germany energy transition, ARD journalist Markus Gürne will present possible solutions for the successful transformation of a climate-friendly economy in a broader context. Things then get very concrete with the lighthouse projects of the energy transition from Lübeck, where the committed doers behind the projects are presented. Specific examples show that the energy transition is already being implemented next door, is feasible and sensible and is worthwhile for the climate and for Lübeck.
By transforming the economy into a climate-friendly one with climate-neutral products, Germany wants to maintain its position as a global market leader "Made in Germany" in many areas. However, this requires an energy supply that offers the necessary conditions. A mammoth task, because between dependencies on foreign raw materials, German bureaucracy is also slowing down the energy transition. The solution for a successful expansion of the Made in Germany brand lies in the regions, with the global market leaders in the SME sector and the local energy companies who know their customers and their expectations and are working with them to shape the energy transition from next door.
