The ensemble risonanze erranti and its conductor Peter Tilling present the German premiere of three new works by Tristan Murail. The doyen of French composers is also represented on the ensemble's new portrait CD NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE. The CD with premiere recordings by Wolfgang Rihm, Birke J. Bertelsmeier, Peter Tilling and Hans Jürgen von der Wense will be presented at the concert. Murail composes contemplations of nature and explores the outer and inner life with the Goddess of Dawn as well as in Atlas of Dreams.
Peter Tilling's hymn-like A SPELL AND A HAPPY END explores stasis and demanding movement, emphasis and affirmation. The Catalan composer Benet Casablancas is a well-known name in Spain, but an insider tip here: his concise QUADERN DE HAIKUS (German premiere) enchants with its crystalline beauty.
