"Shaping remembrance" - Rethinking colonial heritage in Düsseldorf: How do we want to remember colonial violence today - and what does Düsseldorf have to do with it? The event invites you to take a critical look at the genocide of the Herero and Nama and the handling of the colonial war memorial on Frankenplatz. Lectures, discussions and interactive formats will deal with questions of responsibility, possibilities of redesign and how remembrance can be shaped in a fair, polyphonic and future-oriented way.
