Eröffnung: Charlotte Perriand. L'Art d'habiter / Die Kunst des Wohnens

Dear friends of the Kunstmuseen Krefeld,

We are delighted to invite you to the opening of the major exhibition Charlotte Perriand. L'Art d'habiter / The Art of Living . It is the first retrospective in Germany dedicated to the work of the French architect and designer.

The exhibition is generously supported by Cassina, a partner dedicated to the dissemination of design culture, and is being produced in close collaboration with the Charlotte Perriand Archive. The exhibition at KWM and Haus Lange Haus Esters takes a comprehensive look at Perriand's life's work, which spans around 70 years.

The opening of the exhibition begins on November 2 at 11:30 a.m. in the Kaiser Wilhelm Museum.

Frank Meyer (Lord Mayor of Krefeld), Ina Brandes MdL (Minister for Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia), Thomas Michelon (Embassy Counselor for Culture and Director of the Institut français Deutschland) and Katia Baudin (Director and Curator of Kunstmuseen Krefeld) will speak at the KWM.

The panel discussion (in French with translation) will begin at 3 pm in Haus Esters. Participants are Luca Fuso (Luca Fuso, CEO Design Division - HAWORTH Lifestyle Cassina | Karakter | Zanotta | Cappellini), Pernette Perriand-Barsac and Jacques Barsac (both Charlotte Perriand Archive), and the discussion will be moderated by Katia Baudin (Director of the Kunstmuseen Krefeld and curator of the exhibition).
