GALERIA OPENS CHARITY FOREST ON NOVEMBER 14 WITH JANA INA ZARRELLA AND FORTUNA LEGEND OLIVER FINK

Once again this year, GALERIA is sending out a strong signal of social commitment and solidarity with its "Charity Forest" project. The aim of the campaign is to support children in difficult life situations and give them new perspectives. On November 14 at 4 p.m., GALERIA cordially invites you to the opening ceremony of the Charity Forest at the Königsallee store. The event will be accompanied by presenter Jana Ina Zarrella. Mayor Josef Hinkel will also be on hand to pay tribute to this important social cause. RTL presenter Michael Begasse and Fortuna legend Oliver Fink have also announced their attendance to support the campaign on site. All Düsseldorf residents and guests from the region are cordially invited to be there when GALERIA gives the starting signal for this year's Charity Forest. During the event, guests can expect a festive atmosphere with live music, ballet performances, pastries and drinks.

How the Charity Forest works

On each Charity Tree are wish lists from residents of social institutions - mostly from children whose heart's desires are waiting to be fulfilled. GALERIA visitors can choose a wish list, purchase the gift on it and hand it in at the respective store by the end of the campaign. In Düsseldorf until December 10. The gifts and donations will be handed over to the social institutions shortly before Christmas so that they are under the Christmas trees in time for the festive season.

This year, around 700 wish lists from children and families cared for by social institutions are hanging on the festively decorated trees in Düsseldorf's GALERIA. The following organizations will be supported in 2025: Elterninitiative Kinderkrebsklinik e.V., Stups Kinderzentrum, Loop Kinderhilfe e.V., Lebenshilfe Düsseldorf e.V., Nestwärme e.V., Deutsch-Ukrainischer Verein, Ortsverband Düsseldorf des Deutschen Kinderschutzbundes, Kinderschutzambulanz, Sterntaler Düsseldorf e.V..

An established tradition - from one tree to an entire forest

Today, the charity forest is a heartfelt project established throughout Germany - and has its roots far back in GALERIA's history. Decades ago, individual stores already had so-called charity trees from which customers could pick Christmas wishes to fulfill and bring joy to children in difficult life situations. Over the years, the great positive response turned one tree into a whole forest. Today, all GALERIA stores in Germany take part in the campaign. The number of trees varies from store to store - depending on the size and space available - but the same principle applies everywhere: giving joy together, fulfilling wishes and supporting children.
