the Power of Saying No

RUPTURES, the French word for "disruptions", is a confrontation and a poetic search for new connections between theater, dance and music. Who can say no - and what prevents us from doing so? What self-empowerment lies in refusal, especially for women*? Based on moments in which saying no seemed impossible, the German-Swiss-Croatian group searches for a solidary alternative to powerlessness. Three performers conjure up ghosts between passive refusal and active defense. RUPTURES opens the gap through which silence is transformed into movement, a no becomes a chorus, a crack becomes an invitation. Let us come together in the No!
