Fachtag: „Demokratiefeindlichkeit und Antifeminismus im Betrieb“

+++This symposium is aimed in particular at staff and works council members, experts and employees.

How can we take a stance on queer hostility and anti-feminism? What anti-feminist arguments are there, and who presents them and with what intention? How do we counter the arguments of its representatives in the workplace and in everyday life? How can we unite in Hamburg and online against well-connected anti-feminism? To discuss these questions with you, the DGB Hamburg and the FES Nord are inviting you to a joint symposium. Here we want to educate ourselves on the different facets of anti-feminism and analyze its targeted use to weaken democracy. At the same time, we will examine together in participatory workshops what good counter-strategies are. Particular attention will be paid to raising awareness of group-related misanthropy and we will develop strategies to combat this effectively in the workplace.

The input "How the authoritarian backlash threatens our democracy" will be given by Susanne Kaiser, author (including "Politische Männlichkeit. How incels, fundamentalists and authoritarians mobilize for the patriarchy." Berlin 2020; "Backlash - The new violence against women". Stuttgart 2023)

Organizational matters:

- Works council members can be granted time off for the symposium by the works council in accordance with Section 37 (6) BetrVG. Section 44 HmbPersVG applies to staff council members, also with the prior decision of the committee. Employers and employers must be informed of the decision and participation in good time.

- Participation including catering is free of charge, registration on our website is required.

- The venue is barrier-free.
