Fai Baba Solo

Fai Baba is the solo project of Zurich musician Fabian Sigmund. He has been releasing internationally acclaimed albums and singles since 2010 and has played hundreds of concerts with his music between Portugal and Iceland, from small, sweaty clubs to large stages such as the Paléo Festival, Iceland Airwaves, Reeperbahn Festival, Eurosonic and Transmusicales.

The album Sad & Horny (2016) received particular international attention, anchoring Fai Baba outside of Switzerland and taking him on extensive European tours, with TV and radio sessions in Germany and France as well as two live sessions at the legendary US station KEXP. This album celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026. A work that still resonates today and makes the core of Fai Baba's songwriting tangible.

The dialect debut Veränderet (2022) opened a new chapter: the switch from English to Swiss German brought a new directness and vulnerability to his music. Surprisingly, this personal language was also well received abroad, particularly in Germany and France. Another dialect album, Fäderliecht, followed in 2024, created in collaboration with the string quartet Amour Sur Mars: delicate, expansive and atmospheric.

In April, Fai Baba will be touring Germany and Switzerland alone for the first time in a long time. Solo, with an acoustic guitar, he creates concerts of great intimacy: calm and concentrated, yet carried by inner tension and warmth. These are evenings that leave room for nuances, for stories between the songs, for breathing together in the moment. Reduced to the essentials, open, lively and full of presence.
