Concert for World Children's Day

In Andreas N. Tarkmann's "The Alternative Carnival of the Animals", all kinds of animal guests gather for an exuberant musical celebration. The composer has rearranged works from different eras with animal references - from Rameau to Schumann to Bartók - and created a colorful suite from them. The story by Juri Tetzlaff tells of a little fly who gets into turbulent adventures while searching for the right costume for the big masked ball at the forest lake. Stephan Hübner provides the right amount of narrative magic in this animal concert with his stage and radio-proven voice, while the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra is led by conductor and music educator Friederike Kienle. A musical treat for the whole family, which presents well-known melodies in a new guise and invites you to join in the excitement. /JN
