🌻 What? Ride your bike together, wear your favorite outfit and make women visible in public spaces!

The Fancy Women Bike Ride (FWBR) is a cycling event for women by women and originates from Turkey. The aim is to make women and FLINTA* visible in public spaces, encourage cycling and celebrate the feeling of freedom on a bike. 💜

The bicycle has always been a symbol of female self-empowerment - and even though women in Germany are allowed to cycle as a matter of course, they don't do it as often or as naturally as men. There are structural and social reasons for this: In addition to unsafe infrastructure, for example, there is also the classic distribution of roles, in which women more often have children with them or carry the shopping. Men should not be the sole benchmark for cycle path planning - that's why we're taking to the streets!

The route is a leisurely 8-kilometer ride through the city, with short breaks along the way. The police will accompany and secure the demonstration ride. FLINTA*-people, beginner cyclists and children are very welcome. Men are welcome to support if they also dress smartly and line up at the back. ✌️

How can you prepare? Tell your mothers, grandmothers, daughters and friends about the ride, pack your favorite outfit and decorate your bikes colorfully! ❤️💜💛💚🧡
