FÄZZ am Freitag 9.0: Hommage an Albert Mangelsdorff

In the organizer's words:

For the first time in the "FÄZZ am Freitag" series, the collective will be performing with its core line-up without a feature guest: to mark the 20th anniversary of his death, the quintet is dedicating itself to the life and music of Frankfurt jazz legend Albert Mangelsdorff. After a successful performance in August at the Brotfabrik as part of the "playing_Albert" concert series - which was dedicated to Mangelsdorff's memory in a total of four concerts (Nils Wogram Solo, FÄZZ, Shannon Barnett Duo and Janning Trumann 4) - the Frankfurt Jazz Collective is now bringing the program back to the stage of the ROMANFABRIK.

FÄZZ gives the evening a very special character with a mixture of arranged pieces by Albert Mangelsdorff and their own compositions. What did Frankfurt sound like back then, and what does it sound like today? FÄZZ will explore this question and guide you through the evening with exciting anecdotes. Come in large numbers - it's going to be a party!
