Feature Feature w/ Cellz

Collaborations between artists are nothing new in the music world. Queen and David Bowie, Alicia Keys and Jay-Z, Sting and Brandford Marsalis. The list goes on and on. The band Nujakasha takes this kind of collaboration to a new, unique level!

On this evening, the three-piece band meets singer and vocalist Cellz from Munich. They met in 2023 and have worked together on various projects since then. One highlight is the joint release of YOY - a remake of an already released Nujakasha song in spring 2024 in the spirit of FEATURE FEATURE. Together with their guest, existing Cellz songs will be completely rearranged and reinterpreted. The interplay of the typical Nujakasha sound, Cellz's musical vision and the uniqueness of the concert creates an energy that is hard to resist.

The FEATURE FEATURE event series is intended to be a musical haven where young and old can broaden their musical horizons and celebrate music as a community.

The German-South African artist Cellz combines neo-soul and alternative R&B with soulful, multicultural grooves and saxophone. The son of a South African mother, he lives in Munich and combines his two cultural roots to create an independent musical perspective, which he continues to deepen through regular stays in Germany and South Africa.

As part of a new generation of artists with a fresh take on jazz and urban genres, Cellz is particularly impressive live: with catchy melodies and striking saxophone riffs, he creates an unmistakable sound. His authentic, collaborative stage presence ensures sold-out shows and a steadily growing international fan base.

Nujakasha creates spherical clouds of sound and driving beats. Purely instrumental. Drums, bass, piano, synthesizer and violin merge into a soundscape influenced by hip-hop, jazz and soul. Rhythmic overlays are replaced by danceable grooves and rapid musical runs merge into lyrical melodies. As the backing band and co-producers of Ferge X Fisherman, the three instrumentalists have worked with international artists such as Mick Jenkins, Takuya Kuroda, NEONE the Wonderer and Hunter Rose.
