Listening to the Munich band Federnelken quickly puts you in a good-humored 80s mood: NDW sound, glittery clothes, electric guitars. However, only one or two songs or choruses are as tender as a feather carnation. The band tears the place apart with their powerful indie pop and catchy hooks. After all, there's a heavy metal guitarist, a rockabilly drummer, a bassist, a keyboardist and a cheeky singer with an electric guitar on stage. Vocally, she can certainly hold her own with Annette Humpe. And in a charmingly moderate Bavarian that suits Munich perfectly. And to the gfui of the band from which they write their songs.
