Female Friendship

In the organizer's words:

"Female Friendship" arose from the meeting of artists Yinfu Gao (China) and Ana Clara Montenegro (Brazil) in a small German town. Despite their different cultural backgrounds, they found a space in their female friendship to talk about topics such as immigration, feminism, violence and exclusion.

Inspired by their own roots, the two artists shed light on centuries-old traditions of female friendship. From the Chinese cultural sphere, they examine the "Nüshu 女书", the world's only script created exclusively by and for women. This script was often written on fans to exchange messages with each other. From Brazil, they draw inspiration from indigenous traditions such as women's circles, oral traditions and the knowledge of traditional midwives passed down through generations.

In their two-year collaboration, Ana and Yinfu have already realized various projects that combine dance and writing from a non-Eurocentric, feminist perspective. Their common goal is to open up the theater space for collaborative and healing practices.

FÜR DICH FÜR DICH FÜR DICH is TNT's theater and performance festival from November 6-8 and 13-15. With NUDE by Katharina Oberlik, FEMALE FRIENDSHIP by Yinfu Gao and Ana Clara Montenegro, the documentary performance MISCARRIAGE OF FREEDOM and the spectacular INTEREUROVISION by BOYS* IN SYNC. There will also be music performances by TOMORROW I FEEL WRONG and CURD & CHUKOMI, a karaoke evening and a creative workshop.
