FEMME WITH GUN is a feminist outcry, wild, raw and unembellished and, if I may say so, a rave in the name of resistance! With the help of drama, video art, light art and hard sounds, the performance makes civil disobedience a sensual experience: the intoxication of revolt, anger and the overcoming of personal boundaries.
Studio Trafique choose the means of music and dance as a sign of resistance. In the spirit of all the dancing resisters in the world, be it in Iran or in the New Zealand parliament. The piece draws a red thread from the first female rebels in religion, mythology and cultural history, Lilith, Antigone, Medusa, the women of the RAF to Gisèle Pelicot and the Women Life Freedom movement.
FEMME WITH GUN poses the question of when justice must take precedence over the law and thus thematically complements the examination of male power structures, which LUTZ addresses in the production"Der zerbrochene Krug".
In this solo, actress Anna Marienfeld surrenders herself completely to the audience's gaze. On the almost empty stage, there is no hiding, no disappearing, no exits, no pauses. She exerts herself, very close to the audience.
IF YOU DON'T DANCE, STAY AT HOME!
