Ferdinand Büchner Quartett

Ferdinand Büchner is a young German jazz singer and pianist. His voice is dedicated to a lyrical, fragile sound and a stylistic openness and curiosity. During his music studies in Dresden, Ferdinand's quartet was formed, which is primarily dedicated to his own compositions and settings of German poetry. However, arrangements of jazz standards and other songs also find their way into the quartet's repertoire. The four musicians create a tremendous dynamic in which intimate and raw sounds alternate and move the audience profoundly.

The album "Nacht" mixes original compositions with arrangements, poetry settings with instrumental music, composition with improvisation. However, almost all of the pieces on the CD are linked by a thematic reference to the night.

It is an album about light and darkness, about calm and storm, about life and death. Have fun sinking into the music and dreaming!
