How does a bee colony live and how is honey actually made? In this summer vacation workshop, you will take an exciting look inside a real beehive on the grounds of Schloss Benrath. Together we will discover the fascinating interplay in the bee colony and learn why bees are indispensable for our environment.
Afterwards, we'll get hands-on: together we'll extract fresh honey from the honeycombs and learn how it gets from the hive into the jar.
An ideal vacation workshop for curious children who want to experience bees up close.
Duration: 2 hours
Notes: incl. a small jar of honey, takes place from 5 participants.
