The traditional mochi-tsuki - the pounding of rice cakes - is one of the most important New Year preparations in Japan, comparable to baking cookies. The round "mochi" made together symbolizes divinity and stands for health in the new year.
Experience this beautiful ritual and try some freshly made mochi!
