Festival der Kulturen 2025

In the organizer's words:

From September 13 to 30, Osnabrück will be transformed into a stage for music, art, encounters and cultural exchange. The traditional Festival of Cultures becomes a two-week festival that sends out a clear signal for peaceful, open coexistence - and against racism and discrimination - at over 30 locations in the city.

The festival kicks off with an atmospheric open-air weekend on the market square:
🎶 Sat, 13.9. - Concert evening with Telli Turnalar, Dikanda and Divanhana
🌍 Sun, 14.9. - Festival of Cultures with 60 associations, stage program & culinary delights

The festival continues in the following two weeks - with over 30 events throughout the city:

• Exhibition "The Third World in the Second World War" (VHS)
• Kultur Klub International: "Voices against silence" (emma Theater)
• Film & discussion "Song of Haenyeo" about Korean women divers (Cinema Arthouse)
• Concert tour "From Anatolia to Andalusia" (Theaterfoyer)
• Jazz trio JMO - West African rhythms, Arabic timbres & European jazz tradition (Lutherhaus)
• Fado evening with Grupo Gerações (Lutherhaus)
• Fairytale evening, puppet theater, workshops, Café International, women's meetings
• District festival "Lights in the courtyards"
• Festival of the Muslim communities
• the popular Africa festival
