Can feminism and religion coexist? Girls & Gods is a fearless journey led by Inna Shevchenko, the author and initiator of the project, to answer this very question. Shevchenko, who once rose to prominence as the leader of FEMEN's topless protests against patriarchal power structures, now trades protest for dialog by inviting women priests, imams, rabbis, theologians and other activists to open conversations. Together, they address the gap between women's rights and religious traditions and ask whether ancient religions can accept gender equality and whether feminism can find a place in the sacred halls.
