FILMGESPRÄCH: Milla Meets Moses

One-off special event as part of the film series "Incurable illness, dying, death and mourning in film" in cooperation with the Palliative Network Mainz. This will be followed by a film discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Michael Albus (Mainz).

Milla (Eliza Scanlen) meets Moses (Toby Wallace) - in fact, she is literally blown away by him at their first meeting. Although Moses turns out to be a drifter and an occasional dealer, she takes him home with her to introduce him to her parents. Anna (Essie Davis) and Henry (Ben Mendelsohn) - a former concert pianist and a rather laid-back psychiatrist - are anything but enthusiastic about Milla's new boyfriend. But Milla's zest for life and her longing to discover love and the world turn the family upside down. When the parents realize that Moses is clearly doing their sick daughter good, they take him in despite their reservations and are confronted with their own weaknesses. (Source: distributor)
