The presentation of the 11th MOVE IT! Film Prize for Human Rights is the highlight of the festival and a strong sign of social commitment and cinematic responsibility. The prize is awarded to films that use artistic quality and a political stance to draw attention to global grievances and inspire action. The award has a lasting effect because it creates visibility for issues that are often overlooked and encourages filmmakers to continue working critically and courageously. The nominated films on the shortlist are: Writing Hawa , Khartoum , The Wolves Always Come at Night , Songs of Slow Burning Earth , Monikondee . Since 2021, the film prize has been sponsored by the Saxon State Chancellery and is endowed with 5,000 euros.
