In the organizer's words:

At three venues, we are showing around 30 films that deal with the big city as a living space. While the real estate boom is determining the lives of many people in Europe's major cities, residents are trying to deal with it with imaginative projects. Urban planners and architects also show how human and sustainable city life can be created in international metropolitan areas.

Discover the microcosm of Sendling and the different living environments of people in Berlin. Go on an exploration tour with a New Yorker who has walked 15,000 kilometers through all the streets of the giga-metropolis. Observe people who live on Rome's ring road. Or delve into the secrets of a city. The fictional film is about Munich.

Short films show urban utopias and disturbing images. For example, from Ho Chi Minh City, a Moloch that is inexorably sinking into traffic chaos. But even in Germany, driving is becoming an everyday horror. Two short films show where artificial intelligence can lead in urban areas - frightening visions of the future of a world we don't want to live in.

In the accompanying program, children can become active themselves in a stop-motion workshop in the LUISE on the subject of the city. The films will be shown at the matinee on Sunday. During a film walk, we will visit film and series locations in Sendling. Please register by e-mail for both offers. As with all film screenings, participation is free of charge.

The opening will take place on Thursday, November 27 at 7 pm at the LUISE cultural center.
