Finde deinen Sport - Kizomba

In the organizer's words:

We've all been there: you really want to do more sport, but the typical gym routine or traditional classes put you off. In the end, you'd rather do nothing at all. But exercise is especially fun when you find a sport that really excites you and doesn't feel like a "chore".

With our series of events, we want to enable you to find exactly that: We create a safe, relaxed setting in which to try out new sports. You don't have to fight your way to a trial training session on your own, join an existing group or think about what to wear. With us, you will be guided step by step, can try everything out at your leisure and don't have to compare yourself with others.
Perhaps you will discover exactly the type of sport that excites you and makes you want to do more.

What you can expect:

  • Get to know a sport without pressure: try out a sport in a relaxed atmosphere together with other beginners.
  • Guidance & support: You don't have to organize anything. We explain everything, show you how it works and give you tips on clothing, equipment and behavior.
  • Fun & motivation: Discover your passion, network with like-minded people and simply enjoy the exercise.
  • Carefree package: All costs incurred for training, equipment or similar are included in the price. So you can concentrate fully on trying things out.

💪 Our partner this week: KizMe
"Kizomba is a traditional couple's dance that originated in Angola in the late 1970s and has undergone several evolutions in recent decades. The dance is very similar to tango in terms of the lead, hence the name Angolan tango.
As with other dances, completely new styles have developed. Urban Kiz was one of the styles that developed. Traditional Kizomba music was influenced by urban music styles such as R & B, rap, dance and hip hop, and so UrbanKiz was born. Kizomba/UrbanKiz is therefore also similar to Tango, but with more modern and younger music. The UrbanKiz style consists of slow and sensual rhythms as well as electronic dynamic elements, as known from modern music. However, all Kizomba styles have one thing in common: the connection.
Dancing Kizomba gives you a better sense of body and rhythm, more lightness and joie de vivre. Dancing connects, in the truest sense of the word, and also has a positive influence on charisma and awareness. The result is a modern couple's dance that looks like a choreography, but everything arises from the freedom of interpreting the music of the moment.
Absolute dance beginners as well as people with previous knowledge are very welcome. Come along as a couple or on your own."

Schedule:
17:45: Meeting point, get to know each other, sign in, change clothes
18:00: Start of course
19:30: End of course, wind down, connect

Good-to-know:

  • For the training you need comfortable clothes in which you can move well and feel comfortable.
  • Please do not bring your own drinks as we will be holding the class in a public bar/club.
  • You do not need a dance partner. You are very welcome to come alone. We constantly change the pairings during the dance lesson.
  • After the class there is a Kizomba party where dancers from the community come, the party goes on until 11pm, there is no entrance fee and you are welcome to stay. ☺️💃
