FirmenWanderTag Essen

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, it will once again be FirmenWanderTag in Essen. The nationwide outdoor team event invites companies from all sectors to leave their daily work routine behind and get active together in nature.

The 9 km route is covered as a team from Lake Baldeney. From there, the route leads through the Hülsenhaine area in the Schellenberg Forest and then back to the Baki Besa Restaurant RaB on Lake Baldeney. A well-earned after-walk chill-out awaits the participants there, inviting them to linger. There will be a refreshment point for walkers about halfway along the route.

The start is between 14:00 and 17:00 in groups, which are sent off every 15 minutes so that it doesn't get too crowded on the route. You will receive your starting documents directly at the FirmenWanderTag in the starting area.

Presenters and music at the start ensure a great atmosphere, while a free photo box, medals and a variety of team games turn the hike into a real team event. The day ends with a relaxed after-walk chill-out at the finish line. The entry fee also includes a ticket for local public transport and a food voucher.

Unlike traditional company runs, the FirmenWanderTag is not about performance or competition, but about a shared experience. In many companies today, everyday working life is determined by time pressure and flexible, often hybrid working structures, which means that team cohesion is often neglected. This makes opportunities that bring employees together outside of this environment all the more important. Events such as the FirmenWanderTag promote exchange, create new contacts and contribute to a stronger sense of togetherness in the long term.
