For the first time, on Thursday, May 21, Kassel is hosting FirmenWanderTag. The nationwide outdoor team event invites companies from all sectors to leave their daily work routine behind and get active together in nature.

As a team, you will walk 8 km from the Staatstheater through Karlsau, along the shores of Lake Buga, and the final spurt will take you through the Fulda floodplain to the finish, the Rondell beer garden. Your well-deserved after-walk chill-out awaits you there, inviting you to linger. There is a refreshment point for walkers approximately halfway along the route.

The start is between 14:30 and 17:00 in groups, which are sent off every 15 minutes so that it doesn't get too crowded on the route. You will receive your starting documents directly at the FirmenWanderTag in the starting area.

Presenters and music at the start ensure a great atmosphere, while a free photo box, medals and a variety of team games turn the hike into a real team event. The day ends with a relaxed after-walk chill-out at the finish line. The entry fee also includes a ticket for local public transport and a food voucher.

In contrast to traditional company runs, this format does not focus on the idea of competition, but on the shared experience and building a strong team spirit. Everyday working life in many companies today is characterized by tight schedules and flexible forms of work, which often makes it difficult to develop a real sense of community. This makes joint activities outside of the professional environment all the more important. Such experiences create closeness, promote exchange and help to improve teamwork in the long term.
