The evening's performers, soprano Lydia Teuscher and pianist Maharani Chakrabarti, have put together a passionate selection from the flowering of the art song.

A strong duo

Born in Freiburg im Breisgau, soprano Lydia Teuscher is one of the greats in her field and is in demand internationally for her clear, versatile voice and her stylistically wide-ranging repertoire. In Munich, she has performed at the Bavarian State Opera and at Klassik am Odeonsplatz with the BRSO. At her side as presenter and on the grand piano is Maharani Chakrabarti, an experienced Lied pianist who has already performed with numerous well-known singers.

The musical salon in the Silbersaal

A fresh, contemporary concert format that delights audiences and press alike: pianist Maharani Chakrabarti curates and hosts exciting themed evenings featuring top-class guest artists. Udo Wachtveitl, Jutta Speidel and Julian Nida-Rümelin, among others, have already been part of the salon, as have first-class musicians. Music, literature, history and philosophy come together with cross-genre themes. The audience can enjoy the performances over a drink in the magnificent ambience of the Silbersaal.
