Florale Sommerimpressionen: Koreanische Floralstylistinnen präsentieren Blumenkunst

Far Eastern elegance meets European design art: on the weekend of August 23 and 24, the Winter Hall of the Botanical Garden will become an examination venue and a stage for special floral art. As part of the IHK final examination to become a "Floral Stylist", twelve budding floral stylists from South Korea will be showing their creative interpretations of a wide range of themes - live and open to the public.

The participants have spent several months preparing in Korea and are now completing their final seminar in Munich. The topics of the exam remain secret until shortly before the date. Within a few days, they then develop three workpieces that deal with space-related, theme-related and occasion-related design concepts - from room architecture, colors and shapes to occasions such as weddings or funerals. The examination works are created under time pressure and under the eyes of the IHK examination board shortly before the exhibition in the winter hall of the Botanical Gardens. At the weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to admire the works of art of the newly certified floral stylists.

The "Floral Stylist (IHK)" training course is the highest possible qualification for foreign florists who are unable to take traditional theory examinations in Germany. Participants from Korea particularly appreciate the clear German design theory: it provides clear color and design rules and also offers plenty of scope for their own creativity.
