Two acts, two worlds - and yet they have one thing in common: a love of music, the stage and lively storytelling in sound and words.

Steve & Justine Catran - folk, blues & Californian roots

The father-daughter duo Steve and Justine Catran bring the authentic sound of the American wide open spaces to Germany. With banjo, guitars, dulcimer - and of course Steve's legendary dobro - they take the audience on a musical journey from the sunny California Valleys to the Appalachian Mountains.

Their repertoire: blues, folk and jazz, some decades old, some self-written - and always full of joy and soul. Their music thrives on spontaneity, depth and a charming family duo that harmonizes on stage like their voices in a duet.

Rafaela Kloubert & Andreas Schenkel - from stage to stage, from film to musical

Pulheim-born singer Rafaela Kloubert and her pianist Andreas Sch enkel bring glamor and emotion to every concert. Including: well-known songs from musicals, films and pop, interpreted expressively with Rafaela's versatile voice and Andreas' virtuoso playing on the piano.

The two are a well-rehearsed team - on big stages such as the Tanzbrunnen or Cologne's Gürzenich as well as in chamber music settings. Andreas, classically trained and experienced in jazz, has won the 3rd prize of the German Tonkünstlerverband, among others - and brings with him not only musical depth but also Cologne charm.

Rafaela leads the audience through the program in a personal and pointed manner - with a mixture of musical class and approachable presence.

A morning full of sound colors, stories and musical discoveries.
