FOLKS

When chaos, tension and uncertainty surround us, when inner fears and external dangers seem overwhelming and loneliness and fragility create a constant desire to escape - then there are spaces that protect us and spaces that we protect. These are the places where people come together who are important to us and to whom we are important.

FOLKS is a journey in search of - and in the creation of - protected territories. Places where people who initially appear to be strangers and do not know each other find each other through movement, sound and stories. By strengthening each other - through solidarity and care - they confront an uncertain, ever-changing reality.

WORKSHOP

A dance workshop will also take place as part of the performance, led by ensemble members of the companies and using elements of the piece. This will take place on Saturday, 22.11.2025 from 12:00-14:00. The exact location will be announced. Registration at: info@szene2wei.de

FOLKS is the result of a long process of creative exploration and collaboration between SZENE 2WEI (Germany) and InForm - Platform for Inclusive Minds (Georgia). The dance company SZENE 2WEI creates art that challenges perceptions and stimulates thought - with a distinctive style on stage. InForm - Platform for Inclusive Minds is committed to promoting inclusive performing arts in Georgia and aims to integrate people with disabilities more strongly into society through art.
