Booking DIY Basics with Eva thiem

That's what my workshop/training/seminar is about:

How do you get gigs? What do you have to look out for when making requests? And what happens after you've been accepted?
In "Booking DIY", Eva (Innsite Booking) gives a practical insight into the basics of live booking.

• Topics of the workshop:
• How do I find suitable clubs, festivals and contact persons?
• The first booking email: What to include - and what not to include?
• Fees, deals, advance booking: insights into the live economy
• From booking to gig: processes, timings, deadlines
• Do's & don'ts in contact with bookers and promoters
• Basic knowledge of music marketing: what promoters want to see, how to present yourself effectively and which materials are really important

Finally, there is a practical business game in which the participants have to apply to a fictitious festival. This allows them to directly apply what they have learned and test their application strategy.

In addition to practical tips and examples from everyday agency life, there will be room for questions, discussions and individual concerns. The aim is to create realistic expectations, provide confidence in the booking process and encourage participants to go their own way in the live sector - with a clear understanding of structures, opportunities and limitations.

Speaker profile:

Eva has been working at Innsite Booking in Munich since 2021 and has been active in the music industry since 2020. Her focus is on tour and festival booking, including for Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys, Principess, George JR, PLUME and Cari Cari. She is responsible for planning, negotiating, coordinating advance sales, advancing and invoicing - in short, everything it takes to make live projects run smoothly. Working with up-and-coming regional artists such as PLUME and Principess is also particularly important to her.

• The price is €29 (€19 with subsidy, see above) per person and training course (early booking discount €24 or €14)
• The early booking discount always ends approx. four weeks before the respective date
• To ensure that the training courses remain viable and that as much individual counseling as possible can take place for the participants, a maximum of 15 registrations will be accepted per training course. If there are not enough registrations, we may have to cancel dates.
• If a training course cannot take place at short notice, we will try to find an alternative date
• The participation fee will be refunded in full if the course does not take place
• No refunds will be made if participants do not attend
