On November 27, 2025, a very special vocal ensemble awaits you at the start of the season: "Frauenpower " - the women's ensemble of the Mannheim University of Music's singing class. Under the direction of Prof. Timothy Sharp, himself a renowned baritone and professor in Mannheim, the students will present a program that literally ranges "from fairies to suffragettes".

This program focuses on legendary fairy tale characters and historical female personalities, whose stories are told musically in songs by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann and Charles Villiers Stanford. The young singers interpret romantic songs and ensemble pieces with passion and great musicality - from delicate, poetic sounds to powerful, combative tones. The result is a varied evening that offers a fascinating panorama of female role models in music.
