"How do I take a really good photo of this unforgettable moment?" - If you've ever asked yourself this question on one of your travels, then Thomas Schenker's new workshop is the right place for you. Because you'll get the important tips for all the important photo situations that can unfold in front of your camera while traveling to capture the moment in fantastic pictures - regardless of whether you're photographing with a cell phone or an expensive system camera or are a beginner or advanced photographer.

What you will learn:

Capture the soul of nature
Take your pictures into the breathtaking world you discover on your travels - from the grand panoramas to the smallest details. Learn how to capture the grandiose landscapes of our planet so that your photos feel like you're on location and can literally feel the elements of nature - be it the wind whipping up the waves or the cold mist shrouding the mountains in mysterious white. We also learn how to capture the wildlife in beautiful pictures.
Photo situations that await you:
Mountains, deserts, forests, coast and sea, lakes and waterfalls, photographing in the snow, details of nature as well as wildlife photography

Telling about people's lives
Do you see a person's smile as looking into the heart of a country? Learn how to take expressive portraits, but also how to capture the life of the locals in authentic snapshots, be it in everyday life, e.g. on the street, while shopping, eating or at work, or at special events and functions. We also devote ourselves to expressive detail shots of e.g. tools, offerings, food and other motifs that describe the culture and life of the people.
Photo situations that await you:
Portraits, environmental portraits and candid snapshots on the street or at home, at parades/processions/parades and demonstrations, at markets or street stalls, close-ups

Feel the pulse of the city - and photograph it
Do you like to lose yourself in the hustle and bustle of the big city or do you enjoy strolling through the alleyways of tranquil villages? Wherever people live, there are countless nooks and crannies that can be transformed into beautiful pictures. In the workshop you will learn how to organize the chaos of lively cities in your photos, or how your picture of the nice little village radiates the same peace and quiet that you felt on location.

Photo situations that await you:

City panoramas and skylines, street scenes and traffic, architecture/interiors/galleries, sacred sites such as churches/mosques/temples
So you are prepared for the magical moments of your trip. You can look forward to it:

• You will learn which light, which measures and which camera settings deliver the best results for every situation, both for beginners and advanced photographers
• Every photo situation is also explicitly highlighted for cell phone photographers
• Stylistic tools such as depth of field, long exposure and motion blur or autofocus modes, continuous shooting, exposure compensation etc. are addressed in situations where they are often used
• You get direct support if you have questions in a specific photography situation
• You will meet other photography enthusiasts in a small group for great learning success as well as a great atmosphere and learning atmosphere with plenty of time for the individual participant
• You will receive the workshop script as a download and access to the very popular travel photography WhatsApp group exclusively for workshop participants from previous years

Your learning success does not end with the workshop, because you can access your documents again and again. And if you want, you can also join the WhatsApp group and ask questions, for example if you need help shortly before your trip or directly on location, or you can post pictures and get feedback. All of this in a constructive and appreciative way that is not usually found in public groups and forums on the internet.

We start the workshop in the Globetrotter branch, where you will learn in two hours of theory in the Clubhütte in a clear and compact way how to master different photo situations when traveling and what you need to pay attention to in order to come home with a good picture.

In the three-hour practical part that follows, we'll then grab our cameras and put what we've learned into practice on a photo tour through the city - with tips directly on location and feedback on the photos we've taken. We will try to cover as many photo situations from the theoretical part as possible.

The workshop will take place whatever the weather. In case of rain, please bring an umbrella and appropriate clothing.
