Fragments of One
Two people, one body. Two bodies, one organism.
Not black, not white, not red, not blue.
Connected, unconnected. One and yet separate.
Touched and yet neutral, empty and yet filled, ordered and yet not perfect.
When do we merge into one and when do we remain separate? How transparent are we, were we, have we been? What does it mean to walk alone or together?
In the dance performance Fragments of One, Rebecca Mary Narum and Miriam Cheema explore the layers of connectedness. The two performers hover between different states of individual being. They dare the permeability of their bodies and beings, a dance between two and one.
