Franziska Cusminus - In Someone Else’s Moccasins
In the organizer's words:
The video installation ''Walk 100 miles in someone else's moccasins'', 2023, consisting of four monitors and two video projections, shows a person slipping into different ''skins''. The Native American proverb ''Walk a hundred steps in someone else's shoes if you want to understand them'' can also be associated with this work. The process of slipping into the ''shoes'' or ''skins'' is depicted within the monitors. These forms sometimes appear as a burden, sometimes as support.
The overall aim is to make it possible for the viewer to physically experience the different perspectives within the exhibition. This is achieved by allowing the viewer to experience new sections of the installation through their individual position in the room.
