In the east of France, August 1992, fourteen-year-old Anthony Casati shares his boredom with his cousin. They decide to go to the lake, where they meet Clémence and Stéphanie. Anthony's heart beats for Stéphanie. She invites them to a party that evening. To go there with his cousin, Anthony borrows his father's motorcycle without permission. When the sun rises, the motorcycle has disappeared. He suspects Hacine, a teenager of Moroccan origin who lives in a social housing estate.
