Frauen*-Mitmachtag: Wir machen Moore wieder nass!

In the organizer's words:

In this hands-on activity, we women* go into the moor together and get active. Moors are valuable climate protectors - they store carbon, promote biodiversity and regulate the water balance. However, many moors are damaged and need support to regain their full ecological function. Together with other women*, you will close drainage ditches and thus rewet the moors of the Bergische Heideterasse on the right bank of the Rhine - your contribution to climate and nature conservation right on your doorstep. All generations (from the age of 15) are welcome and we look forward to an unforgettable day in the moor.

We work in the Gierather Forest near Bergisch Gladbach. The location is a 10-minute walk from the Gierath bus stop.
