fresh fashion weeks: Visible Mending Workshop

In the organizer's words:

After a great start in 2024, the fresh fashion weeks are entering their second round this year: from April 25 to June 20, there will once again be many different fashion-related events!

Visible Mending involves visibly mending or repairing clothing. This means real appreciation for textiles, because everyone can see that your item of clothing has been repaired and that it is important to you.

In this workshop, you will learn how to breathe new life into broken items of clothing and make them more beautiful and truly unique. This year we have been able to win over the fantastic textile artist Stephanie Müller to show us a few new techniques and to inspire us sustainably and creatively. So, bring your clothes with holes or stains and join us in the rehab office-living room! If you don't have anything broken at the moment, you can also embellish a normal item or try your hand at our test pieces. Embroidery thread, needles and accessories are available, but you are welcome to bring something if, for example, you have a beautiful fabric or thread that you particularly like.
