May I introduce Friedhelm Laxinger

Someone like Friedhelm Laxinger, who everyone just calls "Laxi", is someone you'd like to have as a friend. He knows the best swimming spots along the Götzinger Ache and is happy to share them with you. He sometimes sits there and looks into the distance to escape the confinement: "Rural idyll, mountains and forest - and every year the belief that the Christ Child will come soon". When he then dreams of the "North Sea beach", you dream along with him with joy.

He is a great storyteller and can paint a picture with just a few words that you understand immediately. He leans back and opens a beer, a local one - not a Pilsner from the TV commercials - maybe one from Traunstein. Sometimes there are two and sometimes so many that the Laxi has "one in his tea".

Then he laughs and an idiom mixes into his High German. Then he suddenly rolls the "R"; everything stays as it is, "Rrrromantik bleibt Schund", and you just feel embraced.

The truth is good

A fantasy figure? A dream? Yes, unfortunately. But it doesn't matter, because there's this band that invented the Laxi - and gave itself his name.

And they can fulfill the wishes that the Laxinger from the dream promises to fulfill.

What's more, the real Friedhelm Laxinger not only makes you grin, he also makes you dance, sing along and celebrates life with you.

They just want to play

Friedhelm Laxinger found each other during the pandemic. They didn't have to look for each other, they had known each other well for a long time - from various band projects and from working together as concert and festival organizers. As a group of those who stayed at home and those who returned, they found a common language and played the music they love: Indie & folk, melancholic-chansonesque, laid-back lyrics.

At club concerts and festivals, Friedhelm Laxinger realized that they were making people happy with their songs and stories - and decided to go into the studio as soon as possible.
