Anyone familiar with her novel "Die Vermengung" will find Julia Weber's unmistakable language and unique sound in "Raue Zungen": A poetic text - full of tenderness and resistant energy.
Julia Weber addresses aspects of female anger, reflection and liberation from role models. She discovers the typically feminine in a rage that does not destroy, but changes and creates new spaces. Weber immerses us in a flow of images and episodes in which her female figures transform, sometimes becoming speechless, sometimes louder, withdrawing and returning under the pressure of the outside gaze.
Frank Heuel (fringe ensemble) stages the text as a combination of theater performance and short audio walk, thus relying on the immersive power of the text written by Julia Weber for the fringe ensemble.
