Two young women leave their rural home to earn money in Buenos Aires. When they realize that they have ended up in a brothel through fraud, it is already too late and their hope for a better future recedes further into the unattainable distance. With no means of escape, the two women must try to come to terms with their new lives - but then a john comes along who falls in love with one of them and wants to help them...
