Frühling International

In the organizer's words:

Under the motto "We celebrate diversity!", the popular event will take place for the 25th time in the 1990 State Garden Show Park below Marienberg Fortress. Lord Mayor Martin Heilig will officially open "Spring International 2025" at 12:00 noon at the pavilion by the rose garden. "Spring International" takes place annually on the site of the former 1990 State Garden Show on the Festungsberg. The partnership gardens, which are dedicated to Würzburg's twin cities, provide the perfect backdrop.

Opening of a new partnership garden
One of this year's highlights is the opening of the new twinning garden for Würzburg's latest city partnership with the Ukrainian city of Lviv. The garden was planned and implemented jointly by the City of Würzburg's gardening department and the twin city of Lviv. The Lviv Garden is located between the Scottish Highland Garden and the Totem Pole, which is part of the Rochester Garden. The inauguration ceremony by Mayor Heilig and representatives of the city of Lviv will take place at 13:00.

60 years of partnership with Mwanza
This year's event will also focus on the 60th anniversary of the partnership with Mwanza (Tanzania). The partnership association M.W.A.N.Z.A. e.V. will be providing information about the long-standing connections and the numerous partnership projects at its stand in the Mwanza Garden. There will also be fair partner coffee and Tanzanian specialties.

Information, games, music, dance and culinary delights
In cooperation with the Würzburg International Office of the City of Würzburg, a total of around 30 international societies, migrant organizations and associations will present the culture of their home countries. In addition to long-standing participants, such as the German-Finnish Society and the NAMASTE Indian Association, this year there are also some new groups, such as the Africa Initiative and the ViO - Voises in One association. From culinary delights, music and dance to arts and crafts, there is something for everyone. There is also something for families: the City of Würzburg's Foreigners' and Integration Advisory Council has a fairytale tent and many societies offer typical local games for younger visitors.

Value on sustainability
Disposable tableware will not be used at the event. In order to protect the park grounds and the environment and to be able to continue to enjoy the culinary diversity of Frühling International, visitors are asked to bring their own reusable crockery and cutlery. Used dishes can be washed at a dishwashing station. Arrival is recommended by public transport, on foot or by bike.
