You don't have to have any dancing experience to take part in these folk dances. Simply enjoying dancing is enough. The dances are first demonstrated and then danced together to the music. We know from experience that there is not only room for tango, freestyle and expressive dance in the Westtorhalle and invite all those interested to dance together under instruction.

The "Trio ZAKK" and "Le Bal des Ablettes" will help us with this. Josef Zapf will perform and instruct the dances in a humorous, goal-oriented and sustainable way. The "Trio ZAKK" will whirl the dancing couples around the dance floor. Anyone can join in with the European circle dances, because you don't need a partner. In between the tango and slow fox, couples can float across the dance floor.

The group "Le Bal des Ablettes" came together 11 years ago to play traditional French bal folk music. Christine Schreiner, violin, and Philippe Sorgues, diatonic accordion, play not only traditional pieces but also their own compositions. Dances such as Andro, Hanterdro, Bourrées, Mazurka, Rondeau, circle dances and others will be shown to you. With the two of them taking turns, it will be a colorful, lively dance evening for young and old, both musically and personally.
