Deep underground in a cave live the foxes. It is very quiet there. One day, a little fox sees the light of day - the pride and joy of its parents. Such a cute little fox. But he is so different with his big ears. What he can hear. He enthusiastically discovers the world of sounds: much to the chagrin of his parents, because foxes that make noise don't catch anything for the cooking pot.

After a raid on the henhouse, the fox family is confronted by the head hunter Franz. In dire straits, our little fox becomes a musician. He enchants the hunter with his sounds and songs and saves the foxes. He adopts a stage name and becomes a star overnight.

Fuchs, der Geiger - ganz Ohr is a piece for listening: Children should be playfully sensitized to the world of sounds, tones and music and discover the sounding world as a language of its own. Funny, confusing, surprising sounds alternate with chaotic timpani and trumpet noise, or with enchanting melodies.

The production is a mixture of puppet, narrative and material theater. It's hard to believe what fits on the stage and even more astonishing what sounds the musician elicits from the objects. The musical ones, of course, but also the strangest rattling, clattering, squeaking and whistling sounds. The young audience is amused by Foxi, the stuffed animal led by Sonka Müller, who is constantly coming up with new ideas. - RtNa
