Fancy an exciting afternoon together at the Düsseldorf Film Museum?

During this guided tour of the permanent exhibition, we will discover the magnificent film museum in the heart of Düsseldorf's old town together with a film educator.

The permanent exhibition covers 2,200 square meters over four floors and presents living film history and film technology.

Old film projectors and cameras, set models, decorations, props and costumes can be marveled at.

Original shadow puppets from the 18th century, Laterna Magica devices and wonder drums show how great the enthusiasm for the moving image was even before the cinema.

A reconstructed film studio provides real Hollywood flair and an extensive animation technology area shows the production of animated films with numerous figures and backdrops.
